About Our Group

The Media Industrial Engineering (IE) team is responsible for factory capacity and capital planning to support Recording Media Operations (RMO) in JBS and Woodlands. As part of Seagate's worldwide operations planning team, we play a critical role in ensuring optimal production efficiency, resource allocation, and strategic growth.

About The Role - You Will

Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager, this role will:

  • Lead AI transformation initiatives to revolutionize IE capacity and capital planning through automation, optimization algorithms, and advanced visualization tools.
  • Partner with process and equipment owners to ensure capacity planning assumptions are accurate and up-to-date, maintaining a robust and dynamic capacity model.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational targets and business objectives.
  • Support the IE Manager in delivering factory budgetary plans and long-term strategic forecasts.
  • Aligning your work with Seagate's priority metrics, contributing to operational excellence and innovation.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Python for capacity model development, data processing, and automation; experience with optimization programming is a strong plus.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI for data visualization and reporting, demonstrated through impactful projects.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Flexible, with exceptional time and task management skills.

Your Experience Includes

  • Minimum 5 years in industrial engineering and manufacturing planning, preferably in high-volume production environments.
  • Proven track record in data analysis, capacity planning, and process optimization, with successful projects that improved operational efficiency, reduced costs, or increased throughput.
