Job Description

Desktop & Endpoint Deployment

  • Deploy desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals (monitors, docks, printers).
  • Perform OS installation, imaging, configuration, and upgrades (Windows and/or macOS).
  • Execute device refresh, replacement, and mass rollout projects.
  • Support zero-touch and user-driven deployment models where applicable.

Configuration & Device Management

  • Configure devices using endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune etc).
  • Apply security baselines, policies, applications, and user profiles.
  • Join devices to Azure AD / Active Directory and ensure compliance with security standards.

User Support During Deployment

  • Provide hands-on or remote support during device issuance and cutover.
  • Assist users with data migration, profile setup, and first-login validation.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and resolve hardware / software conflicts.

Testing, Validation & Documentation

  • Conduct pre-deployment testing and post-deployment verification checks.
  • Document deployment procedures, standards, and asset information.
  • Update CMDB / asset registers with deployed device details.

Coordination & Operations

  • Coordinate deployment schedules with site leads, and users.
  • Provide deployment handover to service desk or support teams after stabilization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in desktop OS deployment (Windows 10/11 macOS preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, JAMF).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with imaging, application packaging, and patching.
  • Familiarity with data migration tools and backup/restore processes.

Soft Skills

  • Clear communication and user-facing skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Good time management with the ability to support multiple deployments.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven.
