Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize test programs for avionics and aerospace electronic systems using industry-standard ATE platforms.
- Enhance production test programs to improve test efficiency, product yield, and reduce manufacturing costs, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards.
- Translate technical specifications into robust and comprehensive test procedures and scripts tailored for aerospace component testing.
- Perform detailed device validation and functional testing using advanced laboratory instruments including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, environmental chambers, and other aerospace testing equipment.
- Analyze test data for yield improvement, fault detection, and reliability assessment; generate actionable insights to reduce failure rates.
- Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous product improvement.
- Design test hardware such as test boards and schematics for aerospace electronics validation and production testing, ensuring adherence to aerospace industry standards.
- Lead failure analysis investigations, including returned product analysis and customer complaint resolution, to implement effective preventive measures.
- Mentor junior engineers on test methodologies, test system operations, and troubleshooting best practices within the aerospace domain.
- Participate actively in project planning, timelines, and resource management to support smooth product introductions and enhancements.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in test engineering, product validation, or design verification, preferably within aerospace or high-reliability electronics industries.
- Proven expertise with major ATE platforms such as Teradyne, SPEA, Advantest, or equivalent aerospace testing systems.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, environmental chambers, and lab instrumentation relevant to aerospace electronics.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, C#, VB.NET, or similar languages for test automation and data analysis.
- Proficiency in test data analysis tools (e.g., shmoo plots, histograms, trend analysis) and debugging techniques.
- Experience designing test boards and PCB layouts using tools like EAGLE or equivalent CAD software.
- Knowledge of aerospace electronic components such as microcontrollers, PMICs, sensors, and communication interfaces preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Licensed Electronics Engineer or Technician certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100) is an advantage.
