Job Description
Draft technical specifications of biomedical equipment for procurement purposes and participate in equipment evaluation
Manage BME management system, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, tester calibration schedules, equipment battery replacement schedules as well as testing and commissioning of medical equipment
Mange and administer service contracts, medical recalls/alerts, equipment licences, verification of equipment invoices payment and liaise with external contractors on service matters
Supervise and co-ordinate works performed by external contractors
Assess equipment put up for asset disposal
Plan and implement programs to support ongoing quality control initiatives
Plan and conduct training for staff and end users on equipment and safety
Assist and advise users on service issues
Participate in work improvement projects
Formulate and review calibration and preventive maintenance protocols
Formulate and review BME SOPs and workflows
Assess equipment put up for condemnation by end-user
Provide training and guidance for Engineers, Senior Engineering Assistants and Engineering Assistants where required
Perform after office hour standby duty
Perform budgeting and handle financial related matters
Perform any other duties and be involved in any special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
Degree in Biomedical/Electronic/Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Candidates with exposure to healthcare and practical knowledge/ownership of hospital operations, clinical operations units and project management will have an added advantage
Results and quality oriented with good leadership capabilities and analytical skills
Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
