Energy and Plant Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual to enhance energy performance and sustainability initiatives through effective management and technical support. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead energy conservation strategies and drive impactful business projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze the energy performance of equipment on-site, implementing strategies for energy conservation. Conduct energy management audits and prepare comprehensive reports for management review. Develop and oversee energy consumption improvement initiatives, collaborating with various stakeholders. Lead the site Energy Management team, coordinating quarterly meetings and participating in regional Energy Management System discussions. Manage data for the Digital Energy Management System (DEnMS) in accordance with ISO50001 standards. Identify and propose energy-efficient projects to optimize energy and water consumption, tracking cost and carbon emission savings. Oversee site utilities, ensuring consistent availability through effective preventive maintenance programs and coordination with maintenance teams and contractors. Contribute to plant equipment reliability, compliance, and preventive maintenance strategies, adjusting plans as required for optimal efficiency. Lead capital improvement project processes, from scope definition through to commissioning, ensuring timely and within-budget execution. Implement Process Safety measures, including HazOp assessments and change management procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification is mandatory for application consideration. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process/equipment optimization and project management. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 5S) is advantageous. Experience using ASPEN PIMS and knowledge of project management practices. Proficiency in digital data collection and analytics tools, as well as databases such as OEE and Testify. Strong technical and analytical skills for problem-solving and process engineering. Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization abilities. Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Ability to communicate effectively across regions while working in a collaborative environment. Willingness to work in Jurong Island.
