Perform pre-procedure assessment and admission of patients undergoing endoscopy procedures
Prepare and set up endoscopy equipment and instruments (e.g. OGD, colonoscopy, cystoscopy)
Assist doctors during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
Administer and monitor sedation/medications (for Registered Nurses)
Perform cannulation and venepuncture as required
Monitor patients vital signs and condition during and after procedures
Provide post-procedure care and recovery monitoring, including patient education
Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing of endoscopes using washer reprocessors
Maintain accurate documentation and traceability records for all scopes and equipment
Adhere to infection control standards and ensure a safe clinical environment
