Job Description

Overall Job Responsibility

To lead and oversee a team to deliver employment services for persons with disabilities (PWDs), with a focus on facilitating job placements for clients who are harder to place and strengthening the pipeline of PWD supply.

The role involves overseeing and driving alignment with PWD clients, employment partners and employers to address placement barriers and optimise matching outcomes. This includes guiding job matching strategies, job carving approaches, and stakeholder coordination to improve placement outcomes for clients with complex profiles.

Lead and drive projects or initiatives that better match PWDs with employer needs, serving as a bridge between supply and demand to improve placement outcomes at a systems level.

Duties and Responsibilities

Employment Facilitation & Job Placement

  • Oversee and drive placement of PWDs, particularly clients who are harder to place due to complex and/or niche needs.
  • Guide and set direction for job matching and job carving approaches, including engaging employers to identify, negotiate and shape suitable job opportunities aligned to client profiles.
  • Guide the team on viable placement pathways and strategies to improve matching outcomes.
  • Drive proactive job development strategies, including exploring non-traditional roles.
  • Oversee tracking of placement outcomes and identify systemic gaps to improve matching effectiveness.
  • Drive improvements in workflows, processes and placement strategies to enhance placement outcomes.
  • Oversee the tracking of placement outcomes and identify gaps, and improve workflows and processes.

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead engagement with employment partners to review hard-to-place cases and co-develop placement strategies.
  • Strengthen and manage relationships with SSAs, employers and ecosystem partners to expand job opportunities.
  • Oversee and guide regular case discussions and reviews with partners to track progress and drive outcomes.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and provide guidance to the Employment Facilitation team, to ensure effective execution and alignment with team objectives.
  • Build team capabilities in handling complex and hard-to-place cases through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture to navigate challenging client profiles and placement scenarios.

Projects & System-Level Improvements

  • Lead and drive pilot initiatives to improve placement outcomes.
  • Conceptualise and implement projects or initiatives that better match employer needs with PWDs, serving as a bridge between supply and demand.
  • Drive improvements in the management of PWD supply, including identifying gaps, trends and opportunities to strengthen the PWD pipeline.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience

  • Degree holder with 8-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in employment, social services, or client-facing roles.
  • Experience in working with persons with disabilities or disadvantaged groups would be an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous cases.
  • Resourceful and resilient, with a proactive approach to overcoming placement challenges.
  • Comfortable engaging employers and stakeholders, with good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Able to manage multiple cases and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to track cases, outcomes and follow-ups effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
