Job Description

Overview

Join the Resourcing & Scholarship Centre of Excellence (CoE) at National University Health System (NUHS) for a 6-month internship where you will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of employer branding, talent attraction, and strategic communications. This internship is ideal for students from Business Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Media Management who are looking to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic, purpose-driven healthcare environment.

You will contribute to meaningful initiatives that shape how NUHS attracts future healthcare talent — from crafting compelling campaigns to engaging with students and professionals across Singapore.

What You Will Do

Employer Branding & Strategic Projects

  • Support the end-to-end planning and coordination of employer branding initiatives, including recruitment videos, corporate brochures, and talent attraction campaigns — gaining exposure to how organisations build and communicate their Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors such as production houses, designers, and event partners to manage project timelines, deliverables, and progress updates.
  • Assist in sourcing and coordinating employee stories, photos, and videos that authentically represent the NUHS employee experience across various touchpoints.
  • Contribute to content development and project administration, including drafting procurement papers, meeting notes, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Help maintain and update employer branding resources, databases, and marketing collateral to ensure all materials remain accurate, current, and on-brand.

Outreach & Talent Engagement

  • Play an active role in outreach events by supporting on-the-ground coordination at career fairs, campus engagement sessions, and recruitment drives.
  • Assist with inventory management for outreach materials, tracking stock levels and flagging replenishment needs in a timely manner.
  • Support procurement of event and outreach items where required.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the nursing ambassador database, ensuring records are updated and data accuracy is upheld.

Marketing & Digital Communications (for Marketing / Media Management students)

  • Support the development of digital and social media content that promotes NUHS as an employer of choice, including copywriting, visual briefing, and content scheduling.
  • Assist in tracking campaign performance metrics and compiling reports to evaluate the effectiveness of talent attraction efforts.
  • Contribute ideas for creative campaigns that resonate with student and early-career audiences across social media platforms.

HR & Talent Strategy (for HRM / Business Management students)

  • Gain exposure to talent pipeline strategies and how employer branding connects to broader workforce planning objectives.
  • Support research and benchmarking on industry trends, competitor employer branding practices, and candidate experience best practices.
  • Assist in preparing insights and presentations for internal stakeholders on talent attraction initiatives and outreach outcomes.

What You Will Gain

This internship offers more than task execution — you will develop a well-rounded understanding of how employer branding, HR strategy, marketing, and communications come together in a large, complex healthcare organisation. Specifically, you can expect to:

  • Build practical skills in project coordination, stakeholder management, and content development.
  • Gain exposure to real-world HR and marketing workflows within a public healthcare setting.
  • Develop your professional portfolio with tangible campaign and project contributions.
  • Receive mentorship from experienced professionals in the Resourcing CoE.
  • Understand the unique talent landscape of Singapore's healthcare sector and the strategies used to attract the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from penultimate or final-year students pursuing degrees in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, or Media Management. You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and follows through on tasks.
  • Comfortable working across teams and communicating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creative and detail-oriented, with an eye for good storytelling and strong written communication skills.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Genuinely curious about people, organisations, and what makes a workplace compelling.

Prior experience in content creation, event coordination, or HR-related projects is a bonus, but not required. We value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn above all.
