Job Description

Position Summary

The Employee Experience Director, APAC is responsible for shaping, elevating, and scaling the employee experience across the region to enable Merz Aesthetics strategic ambition and high‑growth agenda. This role ensures that every stage of the employee lifecycle - from onboarding to development to retention - is aligned with the APAC culture, leadership expectations, and business priorities.

The role partners closely with country HR teams and Regional COEs to build a consistent, high‑trust, high‑performance environment that supports rapid scaling, talent readiness, and organizational health.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead the APAC Employee Experience (EX) Strategy

  • Design and implement a regional Employee Experience roadmap aligned to APAC's growth strategy, including culture, leadership, and organization readiness priorities.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable initiatives that strengthen belonging, clarity, purpose and high performance across markets.

2. Elevate Culture & Engagement Across APAC

  • Drive region-wide engagement programs, cultural activation campaigns, and leadership behaviours that support a high-performance, high trust culture.
  • Build visibility and recognition mechanisms that reinforce success and motivate sustained performance.

3. Build and Lead Signature APAC EX Initiatives

  • Oversee execution of APAC-wide HR innovation programs, including:
    - Voices of APAC - Unified operating rhythm
    - Wellbeing by Design - Data-driven wellbeing roadmap
    - Employee Lifecycle enhancements - Onboarding, mobility, recognition.

4. Champion Health & Wellbeing

  • Lead regional wellbeing frameworks, and building evidence-based programs and initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives that address the needs of diverse workforce segments.

5. Employee Insights & Listening

  • Implement listening strategies that integrate engagement results, sentiment data and qualitative insights into actionable improvements.
  • Partner with HR Ops to track experience metrics and deliver continuous improvement loops.

6. Regional Governance & Change Leadership

  • Provide strategic HR partnership to APAC leadership on culture, EX risks and organizational health.
  • Support major transformations with clear communication, structured touchpoints, and employee-centric adoption plans.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) with major in business administration, public administration, or related fields preferred
  • Master's degree in business administration or MBA preferred

Experiences

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in General HR Management, Organization Development, and Learning & Development in a multinational company required
  • Proven experience in scaling culture, engagement, leadership, or EX programs in fast-growth contexts.
  • Strong background in talent development, organizational effectiveness or engagement program design.
