Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. is currently looking for Emission and Carbon Trader to join and contribute to carbon trading development in the company.
Background:
JSC Novatek is the largest privately owned gas company in Russia and majority shareholder in Yamal LNG project.
Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte. Ltd. is the LNG trading company for JSC Novatek.
Job duties:
- To be fully involved in implementing internal regulation procedures for environmental products trading which includes marketing strategy, EUAs purchase/sales, trading limits, financial and budgeting, work with internal accounting system etc for Novatek Gas and Power Asia Pte Ltd.
- To execute trades in EU Allowances and other compliance instruments.
- To identify, originate, and trade high-quality carbon credits in voluntary markets (CORSIA, Article 6).
- To provide market intelligence, price forecasts, and scenario and market analysis for internal stakeholders.
- To recommend hedging strategies and timing for allowance purchases to optimize cost-of-capital and price exposure
- To develop risk-managed trading strategies that optimize cost of compliance for NOVATEK's fleet under FuelEU and IMO regulations.
- To identify and develop business opportunities in the emerging carbon markets (eg. China, ASEAN countries)
- To monitor regulatory developments in international carbon compliance framework and regional carbon markets.
Job requirements:
- University degree in business related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in trading related industry
- Strong knowledge of environmental products trading trends, regulations and frameworks
- Strong contract drafting, analytical, presentation and negotiation skills
- Fluent English is a must for day-to day business communication.
