Job Description

Job Title: Embryologist / Junior Embryologist(IVF Laboratory)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Embryologist to join our IVFlaboratory in Singapore. Candidates with at least 2 years of hands-on IVFexperience are preferred however, strong junior candidates with relevanttraining and exposure to assisted reproductive technologies will also beconsidered. You will play a key role in supporting fertility treatments whilemaintaining the highest laboratory and ethical standards in line with localregulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform core IVF laboratory procedures, including oocyte handling, sperm preparation, insemination (IVF/ICSI), embryo culture, and support during embryo transfer
  • Assist in or independently perform micromanipulation techniques such as ICSI (depending on experience level)
  • Evaluate and grade oocytes, sperm, and embryos accurately
  • Carry out cryopreservation and thawing (vitrification/warming) of gametes and embryos
  • Maintain precise documentation in laboratory information systems in compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements
  • Ensure adherence to quality control protocols, laboratory safety, and infection control standards
  • Monitor, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and environmental conditions
  • Work closely with clinicians, nurses, and counsellors to support patient treatment cycles
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences, Embryology, Biotechnology, or a related field
  • Embryologist: Minimum 2 years of IVF laboratory experience
  • Junior Embryologist: Fresh graduates or candidates with 2 years experience may be considered with relevant lab exposure or internship in ART/IVF
  • Knowledge of IVF techniques such as embryo culture, sperm preparation, and cryopreservation
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Singapore's healthcare regulatory environment, including guidelines from the Ministry of Health Singapore
  • Experience in ICSI, blastocyst culture, vitrification, or embryo biopsy (for more experienced candidates)
  • Certification or training in clinical embryology or ART techniques
  • Experience using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
