Responsibilities
1. Undertake technical clinical work, including clinical embryology and andrology duties following established policies and standards.
2. Render routine diagnostic services and andrology and embryology procedures in accordance with laboratory protocols.
3. Handle all assigned supplies and equipment for ART procedures in the laboratory.
4. Have knowledge of, and comply with quality control processes, ethical issues and regulations surrounding gamete and embryo handling.
5. Maintain a safe laboratory environment and adhere to all standard operating procedures.
6. Perform calibration and daily and preventive maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
7. Collect and report laboratory statistical data accurately and completely.
8. Involve in patient and staff education and meetings, where applicable.
9. Perform quality control tests and participate in internal and external quality assurance.
10. Undertake any other lab-related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
1. Possess a Degree in Clinical Embryology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or its equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
3. Proficient in laboratory skills and policies specific to IVF procedures.
4. Able to work independently and as a team.
5. Have excellent manual dexterity and the ability to pay attention to detail.
6. Possess strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others.
7. Able to communicate effectively.
8. Due to the nature of work, flexibility in schedule is a requirement.
