This position is based in Singapore within the Cyber Security department, as part of the Embedded Software & Solution (ESS) team responsible for embedded systems security at Thales CDI. We are seeking an engineer with demonstrated expertise in Cyber Security, especially in the area of embedded systems such as Discrete Secure Elements, M2M connected modules, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

In collaboration with our architects based worldwide, specialized in security within the Embedded Software & Solution (ESS) team, you will be in charge of conducting risk analyses, security assessments ad code review of various Thales DIS embedded products. You will also play a key role in defining and evaluating new Software or Hardware protection mechanisms in partnership with other teams, in order to monitor and even stay ahead of the state of the art for all embedded products requiring EMVCo, ESA, or Common Criteria certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical security referent for our internal customers within Thales DIS
  • Define the most appropriate security solutions and measures for each of our different products
  • Support as an expert the external evaluations of embedded products
  • Define and ensure the follow-up of action plans in collaboration with R&D
  • Carry out safety evaluations including pen-tests

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of programming languages, Java, C/C++ and assembler
  • Experience in micro-controller architectures such as ARM Secure Core or RISC-V
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux
  • Knowledge of HW & SW attacks in the world of embedded systems
  • Experience in penetration testing,
  • Knowledge on public key & secret key cryptographic algorithms
