Job Description

The ELV Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery (design, installation, integration, and testing) of Extra-Low Voltage systems. This role acts as the central liaison between main contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure all systems are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ELV vendors, sub-contractors, and clients regarding technical queries and progress updates.
  • Review and propose infrastructure and ELV systems not limited to:
  • Guest Room Management System, CCTV & Surveillance Systems, Access Control &Security Systems, Structured Cabling Systems.
  • Public Address & Communication Systems, Car Park Management Systems, Audio-Visual& Video Analytics Systems.
  • Fire Alarm Systems, Telecomm System & Network & Server Room.
  • Review, evaluate, and coordinate ELV shop drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with overall architectural and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) designs.
  • Supervise specialized sub-contractors during the installation, cabling, termination, and positioning of ELV equipment.
  • Monitor daily site progress against the master construction schedule, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks or delays.
  • Lead or participate in site coordination meetings to resolve outstanding engineering and installation challenges.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to verify that delivery schedules for ELV equipment and materials align with site installation timelines.
  • Resolve technical clashes, spatial conflicts, and interface issues between various ELV systems and other construction trades.
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments when required.
  • Ensure all systems comply with project specifications, local authorities codes of practice, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare technical proposals, compliance statements, system architecture diagrams, method statements, and clarification responses.
  • Support alternative and value engineering proposal submissions for smart MEP, ELV, and AI-integrated solutions.
  • Submit monthly reports on ELV activities to client.
  • Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • At least 3 years local experience in ELV equipment installation, testing, commissioning within the built environment sector.
  • Strong technical proficiency with abroad range of ELV systems & regulatory requirements and submissions.
  • Possess strong stakeholder's engagement and management skills, problem solving skills, project management skills, interpersonal and presentation skills.
