Electronic Technician
Job Function
- Maintains, repairs, and installs electronic equipment used for patient care, hospital operations, and patient entertainment, including TVs, biomedical devices, and facility electronics, ensuring compliance with healthcare safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hospital TVs and patient entertainment systems
- Repair and maintain medical electronic equipment (monitors, infusion pumps, diagnostic devices)
- Test and service control panels, power supplies, sensors, and electronic circuits
- Connect and configure TVs to hospital networks, IPTV systems, or set-top boxes
- Perform preventive maintenance on both medical and non-medical electronics
- Maintain service logs, reports, and documentation for compliance and audits
- Coordinate with hospital IT, nursing, and facilities teams to minimize disruption
- Follow strict electrical safety and infection control procedures
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of LED/LCD/Smart TVs and AV systems
- Familiarity with biomedical electronic devices (optional certification can help)
- Proficiency with electronic testing tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering tools)
- Basic networking skills for IPTV, LAN, or Wi-Fi connections
- Ability to read circuit diagrams, schematics, and manuals
