We are looking for a skilled and hands-on
Electrician to join our technical team. This role focuses on installing and maintaining smart home switches, CCTV systems, and access points, ensuring reliable and high-quality installations for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and configure smart home switches, relays, and related electrical components.
- Perform installation and setup of CCTV systems and ensure optimal positioning for coverage.
- Install and test Wi-Fi access points and network cabling to ensure proper connectivity.
- Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of smart home devices and security systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards during all installations.
- Work with project managers and IoT consultants to execute site installations according to project requirements.
- Perform site inspections, testing, and quality checks before project handover.
- Maintain proper documentation of work completed, including wiring diagrams and system configurations.
Qualifications & Skills
- NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Licensed electrician (EMA Licensed preferred).
- Hands-on experience in wiring, cabling, and electrical installations.
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems, including CCTV, networking, and access points.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and comfortable working on-site (e.g., during renovations).
Preferred (Good-to-Have)
- Experience in smart home systems or IoT device installations.
- Familiarity with brands such as Schneider, Philips Hue, TP-Link, or Ubiquiti.
- Class 3/3A or 2B motorcycle license (preferred for site mobility).
