Job Summary
The Electrician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing electrical works for retail shop fit-outs in shopping malls. This includes supervising installation, ensuring compliance with mall regulations, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering projects on time and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical works (lighting, power, DB, wiring, containment)
- Ensure installations follow approved drawings and mall guidelines
- Lead and manage electricians and subcontractors on-site
- Coordinate with main contractors, designers, and mall management
- Attend site and coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local electrical regulations
- Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safe work practices
- Oversee testing & commissioning of electrical systems
- Rectify defects and ensure smooth project handover
- Prepare site reports, schedules, and as-built drawings
- Monitor materials, manpower, and work progress
Requirements
- NITEC / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience (retail/mall fit-out preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and DB installation
- Familiar with shopping mall fit-out processes and permit systems
- Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Experience working on shopping mall projects
