Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Supervisor to oversee installation, testing, and troubleshooting of conveyor systems. The role involves managing site activities, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting maintenance and fault rectification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical installation of conveyor systems including wiring, panels, sensors, and motors to ensure quality and compliance
  • Lead and coordinate technicians on-site to achieve timely and safe completion of electrical tasks
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and system issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • Support testing, commissioning, and system handover to ensure operational readiness
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and site requirements to maintain a safe work environment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics accurately to guide installation and maintenance
  • Liaise effectively with engineers, clients, and subcontractors on-site to coordinate project activities
  • Prepare daily reports detailing work progress, issues encountered, and manpower utilization

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma, Nitec, or Higher Nitec in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial electrical work
  • Possess Class 3 driving licence for commercial vehicle

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience with conveyor systems or warehouse automation
  • Strong troubleshooting and hands-on skills in electrical systems
  • Ability to lead a small team on-site
  • Willingness to travel between project sites and work overtime as required
  • Experience with sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and basic programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Knowledge of safety practices including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work systems
  • Experience working in warehouse, airport, or logistics projects
