Electrical Supervisor
Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join the Instrument Control and Electrical team at an energy infrastructure organization
This role is responsible for overseeing the safe, reliable, and effective execution of all electrical maintenance activities, ensuring operational continuity and compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians and contractors in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and specifications
- Review and approve electrical-related permits, including electrical isolation, excavation, and instrumentation work permits
- Lead investigations into electrical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programmes
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings to reinforce safety practices and coordinate maintenance activities
- Participate in emergency response drills and undertake assigned roles as part of incident preparedness
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial environments will be advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge of: Low and medium voltage systems, Power distribution, Motors and electrical equipment, PLC systems (experience with DCS is an advantage), CCTV and security systems, Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and Singapore Standards (SS)
- Physically fit and able to participate in emergency response duties
