Job Summary:
Our client is a well-established construction builder with a strong footprint across Singapore and Malaysia, delivering a wide range of projects from commercial buildings to infrastructure developments. They are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Technician to join their team and play a vital role in ensuring the successful testing and commissioning of electrical systems on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise the testing and commissioning of electrical equipment at construction sites to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards and project timelines.
- Review and analyse Single Line Diagrams and Electrical Schematic Drawings to verify design accuracy and facilitate smooth installation and commissioning processes.
- Prepare, review and submit comprehensive site acceptance test reports, documenting the performance and functionality of electrical systems.
- Assist in conducting thorough inspections during the installation of electrical equipment, identifying any defects or deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate and participate actively in site activities and meetings with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure clear communication, timely updates and resolution of any technical issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Commissioning Lead and other project stakeholders to carry out assigned tasks, support commissioning schedules and contribute to overall project success.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and ensure all electrical works adhere to regulatory and company safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant local experience in electrical testing, commissioning and site supervision within the construction or related industries.
- Demonstrate strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Prior experience with Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical equipment including site installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance is highly advantageous.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, contractors and project teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to meet project goals.
