Key Responsibilities
Panel Assembly and Wiring: Assemble, wire, and install components (breakers, relays, PLCs) into electrical enclosures according to engineering drawings and schematics.
Testing and Commissioning: Perform point-to-point wiring continuity, functional, and safety tests to ensure panel performance before installation.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty electrical components, wiring, and control systems.
Maintenance and Inspection: Inspect electrical systems to detect issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure compliance with safety codes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of panel configurations, wiring diagrams, and test results.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Technical diploma (e.g., Nitec in Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in electrical panel assembly or maintenance.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and layout drawings.
Tools: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment like multimeters.
Compliance: Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations (e.g., ISO, IEC).
Physical and Working Conditions
Frequently requires standing, lifting, and working in production environments.
May require on-site installation or servicing at customer locations.
Often requires following Lean manufacturing or 5S principles for workspace organization.
