Electrical Engineering
- Perform electrical system design including LV/MV power distribution, load lists, cable sizing, cable routing, earthing & lightning protection systems.
- Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLD), layouts, schematics, cable schedules, and calculations.
- Coordinate with vendors for electrical equipment selection, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, API, and project specifications.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- Develop instrumentation design deliverables including instrument datasheets, index, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Perform instrument selection and specification for process measurement, control, and safety systems.
- Support DCS, PLC, and SIS related design activities, including I/O lists and cause & effect charts.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design review workshops as required.
- Interface with process, mechanical, piping, civil, and automation disciplines to ensure integrated design.
General Responsibilities
- Act as a design engineer and provide technical input across project phases (FEED, detailed engineering, and modifications) and engineering support during tendering phase.
- Review vendor drawings and documents for compliance with design intent.
- Support site queries, technical clarifications, and as-built documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers where applicable.
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer.
- Proven experience in oil & gas / petrochemical EPC projects.
- Hands-on experience in FEED and detailed engineering.
- Exposure to brownfield projects, plant modifications, or revamp works is an advantage.
- Familiarity with client standards and international codes commonly used in the oil & gas industry.
Qualification Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Formal training or certification in DCS, PLC, or Functional Safety (SIL) is a plus.
Require Skill:
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design principles.
- Good understanding of oil & gas process facilities and plant operations.
- Proficient in engineering tools and software (e.g. ETAP, Dialux, SmartPlant, AutoCAD or equivalent).
- Strong coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and other Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently under tight schedules.
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to constructability and site practicality.
- Willing to perform occasional site visits.
