Assist in the preparation and review of electrical system designs, including equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, power system studies, and electrical layouts.
Support the development of single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, and other design documentation.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
Develop and track project schedules to ensure timely completion of electrical engineering tasks.
Assist in preparing technical specifications, conducting technical bid evaluations, and handling procurement processes.
Review sub-contractors and vendors submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.
Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure they align with design specifications and safety regulations. . Assist in troubleshooting and resolving site-related technical issues.
Prepare checklists and reports related to installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the team in addressing client comments and securing necessary approvals for electrical works.
Maintain proper documentation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry (experience in water/wastewater projects is an advantage).
Experience in electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, transformers, motor starters, cabling, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
Experience in project execution and coordination.
Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP) and BIM software (e.g., Bentley, Revit, Navisworks).
Good understanding of electrical system design and industry standards.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
