Job Summary
Assist the Project Manager in executing awarded electrical projects by coordinating electrical design and installation activities with stakeholders, monitoring day-to-day site works and quality, inspecting subcontractor work, and preparing the required technical and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Coordinate electrical design and installation activities with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal teams.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, load calculations, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor site progress and daily electrical installation works, conducting quality inspections and recommending improvements where necessary.
- Inspect and evaluate subcontractors electrical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, relevant codes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, including SP Group and LTA, for required submissions, inspections, and approvals.
- Identify and report project issues, delays, and site matters to the Project Manager, providing appropriate updates and recommendations.
- Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, site reports, and inspection records, and verify the accuracy and completion of as-built electrical drawings and other technical documents.
Competency & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Preferably Min. 2 years of experience in electrical/M&E projects Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required
- Willing to travel to project sites as required on-the-job training will be provided
- Possession of LEW (Licensed Electrical Worker) status will be an advantage
- Familiarity with SS 638 (Code of Practice for Electrical Installations) is a plus
