Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Design
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts.
• Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop checks.
• Select appropriate equipment (switchgear, transformers, panels).
• Project Coordination
• Work with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors.
• Integrate electrical systems into overall construction plans.
• Ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
• Installation & Testing
• Supervise installation of power distribution, lighting, earthing, and control systems.
• Conduct commissioning and safety testing.
• Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to local building codes and electrical regulations.
• Implement safety procedures and conduct inspections.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during installation or operation.
• Provide ongoing maintenance support.
• Documentation
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and O&M manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of specifications and progress.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 3-8 years in construction projects.
• Certifications: Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) or equivalent preferred.
• Skills: AutoCAD, electrical design software, project management, strong analytical ability.
• Communication: Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
