Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, engineering, and development of electrical systems for oil & gas projects based in Singapore. The role involves preparing technical documentation, performing electrical calculations, reviewing vendor deliverables, and supporting installation and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design deliverables, including specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings.

• Perform electrical engineering calculations such as load calculations, short-circuit analysis, cable sizing, and protection coordination.

• Review vendor drawings, technical documents, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of electrical systems with instrumentation, mechanical, and process disciplines.

• Support site installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities as required.

• Ensure all designs and activities comply with IEC, IEEE, and project-specific codes and standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of electrical design experience in oil & gas or EPC projects.

• Proficiency in relevant electrical design software and tools.

• Strong knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.).

• Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
