Job Summary
Lead electrical and instrumentation design, costing, procurement, and execution for M&E projects. Manage installation, testing, commissioning, and site teams to deliver projects on schedule with accurate documentation and client handover.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical and instrumentation systems including load calculation, single line diagram (SLD) design, cable scheduling, cable routing, and instrument hookup to meet project requirements
- Develop bill of materials (BOM), project budget, and schedule to ensure resource and timeline alignment
- Monitor and update project schedules to track progress and identify risks
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities at project sites to ensure quality and compliance
- Manage and lead electricians and subcontractors during installation phases to achieve project milestones
- Coordinate procurement, storage, and usage of materials on site to optimize resources and reduce waste
- Supervise and ensure timely clearance of punch list items to meet project completion standards
- Prepare as-built drawings reflecting final installation for accurate project records
- Compile and submit project documentation for client handover to facilitate smooth project closure
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software for electrical design
- Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E construction field
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders
