Job Description
- Serve as the primary technical interface between internal stakeholders and SCADA, metering, and system integration vendors.
- Review and validate technical submissions, system architectures, and configuration documentation.
- Develop and maintain technical standards for SCADA networks and metering systems.
- Support integration of energy, flow, and process meters into SCADA and data acquisition systems.
- Validate HMI graphics, alarms, trends, reports, and data visualization functionality.
- Support configuration of data acquisition, time synchronization, and communication protocols.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of smart metering devices (AMI/AMR environments).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of meter data acquisition.
- Support data integrity checks, analytics reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure effective handover and long-term maintainability.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Validate system performance prior to operational deployment.
- Ensure SCADA networks and metering systems adhere to cybersecurity and reliability standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to implement system improvements
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related discipline
- Experience working with industrial SCADA platforms (e.g. Ignition, Zenon, EcoStruxure, MicroSCADA X, Wonderware, or equivalent)
- Experience integrating energy, flow, or process metering systems
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, IEC 61850, Ethernet/IP)
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, network diagrams, and functional specifications
- Experience coordinating with system integrators, contractors, and equipment vendors
