Electrical Engineer:
To encompass the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on ships and offshore structures. This includes ensuring compliance with regulations, managing technical documentation, and collaborating with various teams for project success.
Key Responsibilities:

- Developing electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and automation.
- Creating electrical single-line diagrams, load schedules, and cable routing plans.
- Selecting appropriate electrical equipment and components based on project requirements and regulations.
- Performing calculations for short circuits, circuit breakers, and other electrical parameters.
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Overseeing the installation of electrical systems and equipment on ships or offshore platforms.
- Ensuring proper functioning of electrical equipment and systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections of electrical components and systems.
- Maintaining and repairing navigation and radio equipment, both on board and in workshops.
- Technical Documentation and Compliance:
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as electrical drawings, equipment specifications, and maintenance records.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant maritime regulations, classification society rules, and industry standards.
- Preparing reports on maintenance activities, surveys, and other relevant tasks.
- Project Management and Collaboration:
- Working with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project completion.
- Participating in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in marine and offshore electrical systems is often required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant maritime regulations and classification society rules.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
