Job Summary
As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, installation, and compliance of electrical systems, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while collaborating with project teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and specifications to guide project execution
- Assist in designing and planning electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and grounding to meet project requirements
- Ensure electrical designs comply with local regulations and standards from the Building and Construction Authority and Energy Market Authority
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to align project objectives
- Attend project meetings to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress
- Liaise with suppliers to procure electrical materials and equipment timely and cost-effectively
- Perform electrical installation tasks such as cable laying, panel installation, and equipment mounting following approved drawings
- Monitor site progress and enforce quality control during electrical installation works
- Conduct electrical testing to verify system functionality and safety compliance
- Ensure all electrical works adhere to workplace safety regulations from the Workplace Safety and Health Council
- Implement and supervise safe work practices and electrical safety procedures on site
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings to document project status
- Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, testing results, and project documentation for audit and reference purposes
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
