Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and hands-on Electrical Engineer to plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute electrical works for renovation, addition & alteration (A&A), fitting out, and upgrading projects in Singapore, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical works for renovation and A&A projects to meet project specifications and client requirements
- Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical submissions for project approval and execution
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to align on project requirements and resolve issues
- Attend site meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings to ensure project progress and compliance
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with MOM, EMA, SCDF, BCA regulations, and project safety standards
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and safety adherence throughout project lifecycle
- Liaise with Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) for testing, commissioning, and electrical submissions to authorities
- Develop method statements, risk assessments, and safe work procedures for electrical activities to maintain safety standards
- Monitor project schedules, manpower deployment, and material delivery to ensure timely completion
- Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and provide technical support during project execution to minimize delays
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection records, test reports, and as-built drawings for project handover
- Support tendering and quotation preparation by providing technical input and cost estimates as needed
- Ensure all electrical works are completed within the agreed project timeline and budget constraints
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in electrical works within renovation or construction projects
- Knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations and codes of practice to ensure compliance
- Proficiency in power distribution, lighting systems, distribution board (DB) installation, cable containment, and ELV systems
- Skilled in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications for design and documentation
- Effective communication and coordination skills to engage with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks under tight project schedules
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possession of Class 3 driving license (advantageous for site visits and coordination)
- LEW certification or actively pursuing LEW license (adds value for compliance and technical execution)
- Experience in commercial office renovations, retail fitting-out, or industrial electrical projects
