Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer will develop performance verification methods and procedures for complex test equipment and systems. Analyze measurement and error source while striving for continuous improvement of processes. Perform test automation.
Some direct mentoring and management oversight is expected.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
. Perform a variety of electrical tests that may require modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment, software, and record test data.
. Operate various electrical testing equipment, including but not limited to: Curve Tracer, Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Source Measure Unit, Signal Generator, Power Device, Impedance and Spectrum Analyzers, LCR meter, Function Generators, High Voltage & other misc. electrical equipment.
. Determine best test methods, interpret test results, and make appropriate recommendations based on test results.
. Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by overseeing in depth electrical test analysis on passive, active and electromechanical components.
. Develop and/or expand testing processes and services to help the company scale and improve the overall value of the business.
. Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
. Coordinate with Sales, Quality & Operations to comprehend customer RFQ's & determine ability to comply with customer specifications.
. Provide applications support to customers facilitate audits and technical exchanges with customers.
. Keep current on the latest in electronic component anti-counterfeiting avoidance techniques.
. Periodic review of internal lab equipment and processes for latest technologies and make proposal to management of findings.
. Analyze and compare findings for acceptance or rejection of electronic components based on test results and provide recommendation to management.
. Attend customer visits and meetings to provide technical advice and support.
. Develop electrical test plans, perform electrical and failure analysis testing.
. Provide mentorship and coaching to enhance individual and organizational technical knowledge and capabilities.
Electrical Engineer Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree in electrical, engineering with a strong background experience in semiconductor / electronics industry.
. Four years Experience in functional and bench electrical testing using test apparatus (E.g., LCR meter, Oscilloscope, DMM) with a wide array knowledge in various electronic components for fit, form & function validation.
. Two years experience in determining & developing appropriate testing procedures for a wide array of electronic, electro-mechanical and passive components.
. Prior experience with National Instruments PXI systems and LabView software.
. Prior Failure Analysis experience is strongly preferred
. Knowledge of IS17025, AS9120, AS6081, AS5553, AS6171, and JEDEC standards is highly desired.
. Knowledge in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) component handling and workstation requirements is required.
. Ability to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams, identify parts and tooling necessary to complete test requirements.
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
