Job Description

Role Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems for asphalt mixing plants and related industrial equipment.

This role supports both new plant builds and upgrades of existing systems, ensuring reliability, compliance, safety, and operational efficiency across Asia Pacific projects.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment involving motors, PLC systems, MCC panels, and plant automation.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development

  • Assist in developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
  • Learn to prepare cable schedules, load calculations, and power distribution plans.
  • Support the creation of Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.

Control & Automation Exposure

  • Assist with PLC systems, HMIs, VFDs, and motor control systems.
  • Observe and participate in system integration and automation processes.
  • Support troubleshooting of sensors, actuators, and electrical subsystems.

Panel & Plant Support

  • Help with electrical panel assembly and testing under supervision.
  • Provide hands-on support during installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Support on-site installation, commissioning, and performance testing. (Requires Overseas Travel)

Continuous Improvement

  • Learn to identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Document observations and support the engineering team in problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Strong interest in industrial electrical systems and automation.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical concepts, motors, and PLCs.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN or willingness to learn.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Enthusiasm to learn in a hands-on industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and basic power distribution.
  • Basic programming skills for PLCs, microcontrollers, or HMI interfaces.
