The Electrical Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of ACMV electrical projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review project scope, drawings, technical specifications, and engineering requirements for ACMV electrical systems
- Coordinate with consultants, utility providers, and relevant authorities on technical submissions and approvals
- Assist in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation measures
- Review electrical designs, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and control schematics to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Supervise ACMV electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and installation methods for consultant approval
- Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and coordinate site activities with subcontractors and project teams
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities for ACMV electrical systems
- Manage defect rectification works and prepare project handover documentation including as-built drawings and test reports
- Coordinate daily site activities, project schedules, and deliverables with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain proper project documentation, technical records, and progress reports
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams where required
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and safe work practices on site
- Participate in safety inspections and ensure timely rectification of unsafe conditions
- Promote safe and sustainable work practices throughout project execution
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in ACMV or M&E projects
- Familiar with ACMV electrical systems, testing and commissioning activities
- Able to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical designs
- Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and WSH requirements
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and in a fast-paced project environment
