Job Summary

Prepare and coordinate Electrical and Instrumentation design documents and drawings, support project tender and construction activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate design integration and material procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop Electrical and Instrumentation design documents, including lighting design and calculations, to meet project specifications
• Create 2D and 3D lighting layout drawings, lighting circuit diagrams, and design earthing and lightning protection systems with detailed layouts, sections, and elevations
• Design cable ladder, conduit, trunking, and cable routing systems, producing precise 2D and 3D design drawings
• Perform cable sizing calculations and prepare electrical cable schedules to support accurate material planning
• Prepare instrument location layout drawings, junction box termination drawings, instrument loop diagrams, and hook-up installation details for instrumentation systems
• Generate instrument cable schedules and coordinate design interfaces with structural, mechanical, and piping teams to resolve design conflicts
• Participate in 3D model reviews and collaborate with internal discipline engineers to identify and resolve clashes
• Conduct site surveys and produce design sketches for cable routing and support installation details to facilitate on-site execution
• Support project tender teams by extracting material take-offs from client tender documents to assist in cost estimation
• Attend factory inspections for Electrical & Instrumentation materials to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Assist construction sites by raising material purchase requests, evaluating vendor quotations, and preparing material approval submissions
• Support site testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper system functionality

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on experience using design software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks Manage
