Conduct product evaluation and testing to ensure quality and reliability. Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot, analyze failures, and support product development and continuous improvement.
Job Description:
- Conduct product evaluation and verification testing following established test plans and document results for analysis and future reference
- Perform failure analysis and troubleshoot defective products and components to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Evaluate and select components from the Approved Vendor List (AVL) by comparing specifications to support value engineering and alternative sourcing initiatives
- Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation, including assembly drawings, parts drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Analyze test data and provide recommendations to improve product performance, quality, and reliability
- Provide technical and documentation support during prototype builds, production sample builds, and product development activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous product improvement
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
- Experience in product design and development, including microcontroller/microprocessor-based design
- Experience in product testing, failure analysis, and use of test equipment for troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuit fundamentals, and ability to read engineering drawings/schematics
- Familiarity with mechanical control systems and communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS232, Parallel, USB, and SATA
- Experience in BOM management, component selection, or value engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines and willingness to work overtime when required
