Job Description:
- Analyzes technical problems and takes the appropriate actions to resolve issues within an agreeable timeframe with stakeholders
- Processing, evaluating, and qualifying component discontinuation (EOL) and/or second-source alternative (LLI)
- Updates the necessary documentation in the PLM system (BOM, drawings, specifications, manuals, service instructions, release notes)
- Investigate engineering change requests, improvement proposals (feasibility, risks, pro-and-cons), and implementation upon review approval
- Implement solutions to fulfill Customer Specific Requests (electrical)
- Investigate and implement engineering change requests
- Work closely with other disciplines (mechanical / software / process) to meet project objectives
- Mind safety and international machine product standards
- Provide engineering support for R&D/CIT projects assigned
- Supports the global-production sites and technical support team in electrical matters
Requirements:
Education:
- BSc degree in Electrical Engineering
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years or equivalent of relevant experience in automation/equipment industries
- Experienced in design to conformity with standards such as UL, CE, RoHS, EMI and EMC
- Familiar with debugging/testing equipment and tools such as Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer or Network Analyzer
- Competency in PCB layout design (Cadence) is a plus
Expertise and Methodology:
- Knowledge in analogue and digital circuit
- Application know-how in sensors and motors technologies
- Good know-how in cabling technologies
- Awareness on EMI and EMC issues
- Experience with Eplan (P8) is a pre
- Experience with PLM software is a pre
