Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check Electrical Design deliverables such as single line diagrams, schematics, design calculations, and layouts
• Responsible for budgeting and procurement as well as M&E services proposals and infrastructure projects
• Conduct feasibility studies, and responsible for the resolution of technical issues, conceptual designs, write-up for specifications
• Compliance of codes and familiar with authorities submissions for M&E works
• Coordinate and review drawings and document with other design groups as well as client personnel as required
• Review supplier documents and ensure appropriate interface with supplier packages
• Prepare tender drawings and material take-offs etc
• Support Construction, field engineering, review of M&E shop drawings etc
• Populate and maintain Electrical Database
• Assist Lead Engineer in other project tasks.

Requirements

• A recognized Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electrical or equivalent
• At least 5-10 years of experience
• Conversant in BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD platforms to perform drawing and design work
• Experience in the use of BIM tools for design / tender / construction documentation
• Knowledge in basic regulatory requirements (URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA, LTA, SPPG, SPS, etc).
