Main Role and Responsibilities
Planning and Design of Electrical engineering works for building services projects to deliver buildable design within a timely manner, and economical service to meet client's requirement. Incumbent must influence across services without formal authority and manage the success of projects.
Key Responsibilities
. Design of electrical services such as sub-station, small power, lighting, security system, data cabling, public address system etc.
. Presentation of design concept report to client.
. Preparation of M&E cost estimate base on approved design scheme.
. Preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation.
. Co-ordination of M&E services within the office.
. Reviewing of shop drawings, material submissions and handle RFIs.
. Verification of Work Progress and Variation Order for progress claim.
. Liaise with main contractor, architect, authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely completion of project.
. Carry out site investigation survey and submitting of technical reports.
. Managing of Designers
. Project Management from pre-development through to completion, including the following
- Site Assessment and Inspection
- Design development and co-ordination
- Attend site meetings, technical meetings etc to resolve technical issues.
- Following up with authorities on submissions, inspection and issuance of certification.
. Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained.
. Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method Statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to good industry practice.
. Provide feedbacks in the areas of Quality Control measures and corrective actions.
. Assist in company's ISO system implementation and audit
. Other works as assigned by the company
