Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: To work within the three constraints of Scope, Timeline and budget to deliver project completion

2. Site Coordination: Coordinate between various internal and external stakeholders (Contractors, Clients, Team members) to work closely towards successful project completion.

3. Troubleshooting: To work closely with clients and operation to analyze and find out and resolve root cause of trouble.

4. Documentation: To come up with various project documentation

a. Technical List (IO Termination List, Cable Pulling List, Cost Estimation List)

b. Technical Manuals (Operation Manual, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Manual)

5. Commissioning: To work closely with Testing and Commissioning team and electrical team for testing newly installed equipment

6. Program Modification: To modify equipment PLC and HMI programs

7. SCADA Modification: To modify SCADA DCS for modification

Requirements:

1. Strong communication skills:

a. Able to discuss, understand and clarify doubts for client's requirements.

b. Able to clearly communicate on the requirements (Scope, deadline) to contractors and workers.

2. Technical Drawing: To be able to read and interpret different Technical Drawings:

a. (Piping and Instrumentation (P&ID)

b. Process Flow Diagram (PFD)

c. Electrical Single Diagram

d. Electrical 3 Phase Diagram

e. I/O Wiring Diagram

f. System Architectural Drawing

3. Microsoft Office: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications

a. Microsoft Excel

b. Microsoft Words

c. Microsoft PowerPoint

4. AutoCAD: Basic understanding with Autodesk AutoCAD application

5. ..PLC Programming: Basic understanding with using PLC programs. The following are not a requirement, but would be a plus:

a. Siemens S7/Siemens TIA

b. Allen Bradley Studio5000

6. HMI Programming: Basic understanding with using HMI The following are not a requirement, but would be a plus:

a. Proface GP Pro-EX

b. Allen Bradley FactoryTalk

7. ..SCADA Programming: Basic understanding with using SCADA The following are not a requirement, but would be a plus: Emerson DeltaV

8. Communication Protocol: Basic understanding of EthernetIP, TCP/IP, UCP/IP, Modbus and Profibus.

9. Electrical Power Knowledge: Basic understanding

a. Electrical System (1 Phase, 3 Phase, AC/DC)

b. Cable Size calculations

10. Electrical Control and Instrumentation Knowledge: Basic understanding:

a. Control and Instrumentation System (4-20mA, 24VDC, Input and Output Troubleshooting)

b. Control Multi-Core Cable Calculation AND Understanding of Ethernet Cable Types (S/FTP, U/FTP) AND Fiber Optical Cables

11. Local Electrical and Explosion Proofing Regulations

Basic Understanding of Singapore Explosion Proofing Regulation (IEC 60079-14) and Electrical Code of Practice (SS 638)
