Job Summary
The Eldercare Programme Executive (Funeral Services) coordinates funeral and memorial services for elderly members, supports bereaved families, maintains case documentation, and assists in memorial programme planning.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee funeral cases to ensure dignified and timely service delivery for elderly members
- Liaise effectively with families, vendors, and internal teams to manage funeral arrangements and logistics
- Serve as the primary contact for bereaved families, providing clear information and guidance throughout funeral processes
- Deliver basic emotional support to families during funeral arrangements to ease their experience
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of funeral cases in internal systems for reporting and compliance
- Ensure proper documentation and timely updates to meet organizational and regulatory requirements
- Participate in hotline rotation to respond promptly to enquiries and provide necessary assistance
- Support the planning, coordination, and on-site logistics of memorial services and remembrance events
- Guide junior staff or volunteers to ensure smooth operational support during funeral services
- Contribute to operational improvements and perform other duties as assigned by management
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Social Work or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in social service or related fields
- Proficiency in software applications for documentation and reporting
- Possession of a valid class 3 driving licence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong understanding of Social Service and Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO) settings
- Compassionate, mature, and able to work independently in eldercare contexts
- Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
