EHS Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure full compliance with SCDF requirements on fire safety regulations, fire protection systems, and fire prevention management.
• Develop, implement, and review the company's HSE management system, policies, and supporting documentation.
• Plan and execute HSE programs, campaigns, and training to enhance employee awareness and promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct and participate in HSE inspections, audits, drills, and WSH committee meetings, serving as the Committee Secretary to coordinate activities and documentation.
• Lead and support accident and incident investigations, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Review and audit permits, safe work practices, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure operational compliance.
• Maintain and oversee the upkeep of the Plant's Emergency Response Team (ERT) equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

• Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer with MOM and a certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience managing safety responsibilities within an HSE department.
• At least three years of experience in manufacturing or chemical plants, preferably with exposure to Jurong Island operations.
