Job Description

EHS Coordinator (6-Month Project-based Contract) / Jurong

Summary

To support the Project Manager and EHS Manager in maintaining a Safety-First culture project activities.

Responsibilities

. Assist in daily site safety inspections and monitor compliance with workplace safety requirements.

. Support the review of Job Safety Analyses (JSA),Risk Assessments (RA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) submitted by contractors.

. Participate in site safety walkdowns, inspections, and Gemba walks to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.

. Assist with contractor safety management and ensure adherence to project EHS requirements.

. Support the issuance, tracking, and monitoring of Permit-to-Work (PTW) activities including hot work, work at height, confined space entry, and lifting operations.

. Conduct safety orientations and toolbox briefings for contractors and visitors as required.

. Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

. Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and documentation activities.

. Monitor contractor work activities and escalate safety concerns to the Project EHS Lead or Manager.

. Maintain and update EHS records, inspection reports, permits, training records, and project safety documentation.

. Support periodic EHS audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

. Assist project teams in ensuring EHS requirements are integrated into construction and commissioning activities.

. Maintain project hazard registers and track mitigation actions.

. Promote safe work practices and contribute to continuous EHS improvement initiatives across the project site.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

­ Basic understanding of workplace safety, health, and environmental management principles.

­ Knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and construction safety requirements

­ Attention to detail and ability to identify potential workplace hazards.

­ Good interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with contractors and cross-functional teams.

­ Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

­ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

­ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

­ Willingness to spend significant time on-site conducting inspections and monitoring activities.

­ Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to fostering a safety culture.

­ Organizational and documentation skills.

Requirements:

. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Chemical Science, or related disciplines.

. Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer(WSHO) or relevant EHS certifications

. 1-2 years of EHS experience in construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial environments.

. Familiarity with Singapore Workplace Safety & Health regulations
