Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled EDM Product Development Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on research, development, and validation of machining condition technologies for EDM machines, with responsibilities spanning hands-on operations, data analysis, and engineering change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop machining condition technologies for EDM machines.
- Operate EDM machines to obtain machining results and perform detailed data analysis.
- Support production and application departments as required.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment through the SAP system.
- Release updated versions of the technology database to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Validate machining performance on new EDM machine models.
- Conduct metrology measurements, including surface roughness and part profile analysis.
- Prepare Engineering Change Order (ECO) reports to document modifications and improvements.
- Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Material Engineering or equivalent field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Knowledge of DOE, Minitab and Python programming.
- Hands-on operation of EDM machines.
