Digital Forensics & eDiscovery Consultant / Manager
Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of eDiscovery, data analytics, and forensic technology, supporting complex legal, regulatory, and investigative matters. You will work closely with legal teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to manage electronically stored information (ESI) across the full eDiscovery lifecycle, while also supporting targeted forensic data collection and analysis when required.
The position offers exposure to a wide range of disputes, investigations, and jurisdictions, with primary emphasis on eDiscovery strategy, processing, review workflows, and client advisory, complemented by hands-on forensic data handling.
Key Responsibilities
eDiscovery & Data Management
- Support and manage the end-to-end eDiscovery lifecycle, including data scoping, processing, review workflows, production, and quality control.
- Advise clients and legal teams on ESI strategy, data volumes, review optimization, and defensibility in litigation and regulatory matters.
- Process, normalize, and prepare large datasets for review platforms (e.g., Relativity), ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Perform data analytics, filtering, de-duplication, and search optimization to support efficient document review.
- Prepare client-ready documentation, workflows, and reports related to eDiscovery processes and findings.
- Coordinate with legal counsel, project managers, and review teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Digital Forensics & Data Collection
- Participate in forensic data collection activities involving endpoints, mobile devices, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Support forensic preservation, imaging, and handling of digital evidence in accordance with chain-of-custody requirements.
- Assist with pre-processing, extraction, and preparation of forensic artifacts for downstream review and analysis.
- Conduct targeted analysis of digital artifacts where required (e.g., user activity, file access, browser history, cloud usage).
- Ensure best practices in data preservation, defensibility, and evidence handling are followed throughout engagements.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Build strong working relationships with clients, external counsel, and internal teams.
- Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- (Senior level) Lead small teams or workstreams, including onsite data collection and eDiscovery execution.
- (Senior level) Mentor junior team members and contribute to workflow improvement and best practices.
Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Junior level: 23 years of experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, digital forensics, or technology consulting
- Senior level: 58 years of experience in a client-facing professional services environment, with strong ownership of eDiscovery matters
Technical & Professional Skills
- Solid understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and eDiscovery best practices
- Hands-on experience with eDiscovery review platforms (e.g. Relativity/ Nuix)
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data from endpoints, email, collaboration tools, cloud platforms, and mobile sources
- Exposure to or working knowledge of forensic collection tools (EnCase, Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, etc.)
- Ability to communicate technical processes clearly to legal, investigative, and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Relevant training or certifications are advantageous (e.g. Relativity, EnCE, GFCE, CISSP), but not mandatory
- Travel requirements vary based on role level and project demands.
