Role Overview

OCBC Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Banker to lead and expand its Infrastructure franchise. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), and bespoke financing solutions for clients across the infrastructure value chain, including, energy, utilities, digital infrastructure, and other infrastructure assets.

The role requires deep sector expertise, and close collaboration with, product, and Relationship Managers / coverage teams across OCBC's regional platform.

Key Responsibilities

Client Coverage & Origination

  • Lead Global Investment Banking – Corporate Finance client coverage for infrastructure corporates and financial sponsors.
  • Originate and drive new business opportunities across M&A, ECM, debt and structured financing, and other capital solutions.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing insights on valuation, capital structure, funding strategies, and market conditions.

Transaction Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of infrastructure transactions, including:
    • M&A (buy-side, sell-side, joint ventures, divestments)
    • Equity capital markets (IPOs, rights issues, private placements)
    • Hybrid and structured financing solutions in collaboration with Debt Capital Markets, Project Finance, and Corporate Banking teams
  • Oversee financial analysis, due diligence, documentation, and negotiations.
  • Ensure transactions are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and internal risk standards.
Sector & Market Leadership

  • Develop and maintain deep insights into infrastructure sector trends, including energy transition, utilities and digital infrastructure.
  • Identify emerging opportunities aligned with OCBC's strategic priorities across ASEAN, Greater China, and key international markets.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and sector positioning initiatives.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Global Markets, Project Finance, Sustainability Finance, and Risk Management teams to deliver holistic solutions.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance to junior bankers.
  • Uphold OCBC's strong risk culture, governance standards, and client-first values.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • An MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA) is advantageous.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant investment banking experience, with a strong focus on infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in originating and executing M&A and ECM transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience structuring complex financing solutions across capital structures.
  • Strong regional (ASEAN) experience preferred; global transaction exposure is a plus.
