Job Description
EB Operations Function Analyst - New Issues Acceptance
You will be part of the New Issues department, composed of four groups:
- Acceptance
- Dedicated Services to Lead Manager, Issuing Agents
- Securities Information
- New Issues Distribution
The New Issues Acceptance team is responsible for the admission of financial instruments into the Euroclear System, for both primary and secondary markets. The team handles a wide range of asset classes, including fixed income, equities, warrants, and hybrid instruments. The role involves performing eligibility reviews by applying legal, fiscal, operational, and risk criteria to determine whether securities can be accepted into the Euroclear Securities Database.
New Issues Acceptance operates at the very start of the securities lifecycle. Once a security record is created, downstream departments such as Asset Servicing and Collateral Management rely on the quality and accuracy of this work.
On a daily basis, the team interacts with a wide range of external parties (Lead Managers, Issuing Agents, Issuers, Depositaries and CSDs) and works closely with internal stakeholders across New Issues teams and Euroclear functions, including Legal, Compliance, Asset Servicing (Income, Corporate Actions & Tax), Settlement, and Collateral.
Your part of the deal
As a
senior member of the Acceptance team, your role primarily consists of acting as a
subject‑matter expert for eligibility assessment and complex cases.
- Perform in‑depth analysis of securities documentation and assess eligibility from an operational and legal perspective
- Maintain a deep understanding of all New Issues Acceptance processes and act as a key contact point for complex or non‑standard matters
- Independently manage and resolve complex cases and escalations, exercising sound judgment with minimal guidance
- Coordinate timely and effective actions across multiple stakeholders and teams
- Provide coaching and operational training to team members across most Acceptance processes
- Contribute autonomously to projects, investigations, and business initiatives
- Participate in the testing, implementation, and rollout of new tools and applications to improve efficiency and productivity
- Actively challenge process gaps and define action plans to drive standardisation and common ways of working
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (PSS, process reviews, new procedures) with minimal guidance
- Support Management in business contingency situations to ensure operational continuity
Your Profile
- Strong understanding of all New Issues Acceptance processes with solid primary market knowledge
- Minimum 3 years in New Issues / Primary Issuance in Securities Services
- Ability to take an end‑to‑end view and anticipate the ideal operational flow upfront
- Generic knowledge of cross‑service Euroclear operational practices
- Demonstrated strong risk mindset and control awareness
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and time/priority management skills
- Highly detail‑oriented with a consistent focus on accuracy and quality
- Self‑starter, comfortable working autonomously and across teams/locations
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Effective listener and communicator, able to interact confidently at different levels both verbally and in writing
Our Part Of The Deal Is To Offer You
- Exposure to a wide variety of asset classes and financial instruments
- Opportunity to have a direct impact on Euroclear's core business
- Daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders
