Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Early Years Teacher/s to inspire a passion in the students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative Primary lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and contributing to the overall academic excellence at the school.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in early literacy, numeracy, and foundational learning
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners
- Foster children's social, emotional, and behavioral development through structured and play-based activities
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions and respect among students
- Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records and adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Identify individual learning needs and provide differentiated support to help each child reach their potential
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, development, and well-being
- Prepare and organize teaching materials, resources, and classroom displays to enhance learning
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, and support staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Supervise children during classroom activities, breaks, and transitions, ensuring their safety at all times
- Encourage independence and the development of basic life skills such as problem-solving and self-care
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)
- Previous experience working with young children in a school or early years setting preferred
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning approaches
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is mandatory
