Role Description
We are looking for a warm, energetic, and musically skilled Part-Time Early Childhood Music Education Specialist to join our growing team.
You will guide children aged 2–5 years old through interactive music lessons that build confidence, creativity, and foundational musical skills in a safe, playful environment.
- Conduct engaging music classes for children aged 2–5 using age-appropriate teaching methods
- Lead group sessions involving singing, movement, storytelling, rhythm games, and imaginative play
- Introduce children to basic instruments, including percussion, ukulele, xylophone, and keyboard
- Teach early music concepts such as beat, rhythm, pitch, listening, and coordination
- Observe each child's interests, progress, and strengths to personalise learning experiences
- Maintain a positive, nurturing, and safe classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and development
- Support lesson planning, curriculum ideas, and class materials preparation
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong piano/keyboard skills
- Confident singing voice and ability to lead songs with children
- Experience teaching or working with young children (ages 2–5)
- Warm, energetic, patient, and engaging personality
- Excellent communication skills with children and parents
- Background in Early Childhood Education, Music, or related fields
- Experience in preschool, enrichment, or children's group classes
- Skills in ukulele, percussion, movement, or Kodály/Orff/Dalcroze approaches (Preferred)
- Passion for helping children grow through music
