Job Title: Pre-Nursery Teacher (Childcare)
Job Description
A Pre-Nursery Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating children typically aged 18 months to 3 years, supporting their early development in a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities (sensory play, storytelling, music, art, basic motor skills).
- Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Observe and assess children's progress and maintain developmental records.
- Guide children in daily routines (feeding, toileting, hygiene, nap time).
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding child progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
Requirements
Education & Certification:
- Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) or equivalent.
- First Aid & CPR certification.
Experience:
- Prior experience working with infants/toddlers (preferred).
- Fresh graduates with relevant training may also apply.
Skills & Competencies:
- Passion for working with young children.
- Patience, empathy, and nurturing attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity in lesson planning and classroom engagement.
- Ability to manage a classroom and handle challenging behaviors calmly.
- Observational and assessment skills.

- Background check clearance (if required by local regulations).
